Teaching At-Risk & Struggling Children to Learn to Read

Portland Children’s Dyslexia Center Orton-Gillingham Training

This invaluable, free training includes 50 hours of seminar with a 100-hour supervised practicum at the Portland Children’s Dyslexia Center. Originally designed as an effective approach for teaching reading to dyslexic students, the knowledge and training are also applicable for teaching other at-risk and struggling readers. The course is accredited by the Multisensory Structured Language Education Council and is also recognized by the International Dyslexia Association as meeting their teacher training standards.
